Grandma Jenny's Training Centre is the result of Genevieve Radnan's hard work and determination to help those less fortunate. Construction at the training centre has only just been completed and the next phase of the project is the completion of a 50,000litre FAB water tank. The purpose of the community-training centre is to empower women to learn new skills to be able to start their own businesses and have achievable goals in life. The training centre will teach the students English, Maths, Kiswahili, Health Education, Financial Accounting and Tailoring. Starting with forty full-time students, they will study for a full year and then the training centre will educate another forty students.

The 50,000litre water tank funded by Genna, and constructed by FAB Projects, is essential to the sustainability of the project and save the financial burden of buying water. It has allowed all of the students to drink, wash in the showers, irrigate the vegetable patch and maintain the cleanliness of the buildings. Public toilets in rural villages are particularly bad, one of the purposes of the training centre is to provide a hygienic toilet block for community members to use. The tank will serve as a highly valuable resource should drought occur in this region as it will also support the local medical centre’s demand for clean water. The size of this tank will meet the centre’s total needs and exceed them so that as the centre grows they will always have enough water.
